I pulled into campsite that only has water and power. Hooked up. Only gray water used was wife shower. The gray tank over flowed shortly after. I think the water source from camp site went to gray tank. Is that possible?

Sounds like you have a valve opened up somewhere that you're not supposed to. Have you double-checked every water valve and tap you can?

How do i check water valves? Only thing i can think of are the black ones that u open and close for it to go thru sewage hose.

In fact it has to be coming from fresh water hook up bc i turned it off and it stopped. I also still have plenty of water in fresh tank.

R u sure that you are draining grey tank when draining. Maybe the grey tank has a separate valve that is still closed.

Yes the gray tank is draining thru overflow hose. But im not hooked up to sewers at this camp site. In theory i wouldnt have known about the issue if i was hooked into sewer.

The only strange thing that was different this time is when i hooked into water from site, my water filter was empty. Usually, there is always water in it.

The fresh/tap water is draining past something...

All places that water goes from fresh to gray...

All taps, and do you have a back-flush circuit that might be open?

Just remember, it can always be worse... it could be the black tank...

Straight to the toilet, or a back-flush feature.

Something sounds wide open?

And get discrete real fast, some places can make you one giant pile of trouble for illegal waste dumping... don't be making a spectacle of yourself!!!

So i think i got it. The toilet was stuck in flush mode. The great news is my black tank was empty since we left this morning. I mean the water in its still funky but at least it wasnt brown mud like. Im going to blame this on the wife since i was driving all day and she was chillin.

Probably best to throw the shovel out now.  ::)

I learned a long time ago to just dawn the rubber gloves and clean it up myself.  Best to leave the wife completely out of it if for no other reason than their apt to blather at just the wrong moment ;D  Jack
