Is there a way to find the identity of a FMCA member with just their member number? (77054) Looking to find former owner of a Scenicruiser. Thanks

If you know of the whereabouts of a PD4501 Scenicruiser - I would like to add the serial number to my registry of surviving Scenics.  www.tomsgarageonline.com

That doesn't appear to be a complete number. Is there another digit at the beginning? There are two member families with those ending digits, one in TX and one in NY, but neither lists their coach in the directory. Of course, it's only possible to search current members as far as I can see.

That is strange there is a gap between 77050 and 77056 it could be a vendors number though or they didn't want the number published which you have the right to do but 5 numbers in a roll seems a little odd.FWIW 770xx is for the year 1986, could be too the member passed away then they don't publish the number at the family's request when you are listed in the final round up section

Just saw the Scenicruiser you're talking about on eBay. Number appears to be an old one. Don't see them in the current FMCA directory. Likely means that they are not current members. Not sure how you'd find the information unless you found someone with an older membership directory willing to look it up.

Speaking of Scenicruisers, does anyone remember the one from the mid 80's that had large picture windows on sides? It was beautiful, had a Spicer 4x4 transmission. I thought owner's last name was Denofrio. We speculated that those big windows weakened body, but don't know if it is still around.

Thanks guys. It was a longshot.

Tom -

Talking about a long shot, have you considered calling FMCA's office?  Maybe somebody there in Member Services could help solve the mystery. . .

Chessie -

I remember seeing that coach in Arcadia at a repair shop about 10 years ago.  Perhaps Jack Conrad might have some more info?

I was told that an acquaintance went to inspect the FMCA (4501, s/n 183 ) bus in question. I sent him an email for ownership info. The bus is currently on ebay and Craigslist. I hope it finds a home, other than being scrapped. Failing my attempts, I will try FMCA office. Good idea. Thanks

The Arcadia, FL Scenic was 653. Last owner I had on my list was an unknown female in Arcadia in 2010. Coach was a combo car converted by GH before it's retirement. I agree those huge picture windows are asking for additional structural issue.

I looked at the photos of that bus it is the same 4905 Cletus Johnson in Houston owned for a short time,I went with him to OK in 83 or 84 to pick it up wonder who remove the interior it was seated when he purchased it

Clifford, I had a note in my book that a "Jackson" from Houston bought the bus from my buddy Fred Rayman's late friend H.C. Sullivan in OKC in 84. Maybe I mistakenly wrote Jackson, instead of Johnson? Not sure about who/when interior was removed either. It's always a challenge to fill in the ownership blanks for these old crates!

I forgot to mention that the Craigslist bus (s/n 183) is currently for sale by "12 Tribes" the religious group that grafted an Aerocoach with a Scenicruiser.
