Still intermittently getting "Session verification failed" error

The board seems to be running faster most of the time now, but I am still getting an intermittent error:

"Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again."

I get that once every few days maybe, but not since the upgrade that I recall.

No biggie, just retry and it always works.

Interesting, I never had the error until the upgrade. 

I agree it's not a biggie, but if you are writing a post and don't copy it to or write it in another document editor, that session error will lose your work on it.  That is usually followed by me practicing some alternative vocabulary under my breath.

ODD. I have never got that failure a single time and I am on the board a lot working on the Help board Favorites. But I do run into really slooooooow times occasionally. Other times it is great.

Since the update I have had no problems other than being slow occasionally, no big deal.

Could the problem with with your browser killing off cookies?

That would explain the logout and login messages. The board is asking for it's cookie data to be resent
to verify your connection. If you cookies are getting smashed or wiped by some errant browser software
or some "automatic cookie cleaner" that could possibly explain the problem..

But then again, I am just guessing here...

That would cause session problems, but I don't think that is the problem here.  For one thing, it started for me very distinctly when the forum upgrade was done.  Second, I browse several forums on several different areas of interest and am not having any similar problems on the others.

I have my cookie security in Explorer set to default medium.  Just in case the forum upgrade changed something about the cookie that is now getting caught in that, I just added the forum to the trusted sites list.  That should ensure that there is no interference with the cookies.

Just wondering,  In your profile are you using the default look and layout setting?

I had problems like that when I cahnged thoose settings. Let me know

This message [Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again." ] may be the replacement for the "Timed out" message that I don't get anymore since the upgrade.

And, out of my 3 computers, only my laptop ever expierences this message that makes me copy and paste most postings. I think it has something to do with the
internet connection we use.  But I'm not sure.
