Trouble with a converter

Trying to help a friend figure out why his converter doesn't work.

When plugged in to shore power  everything works(Ac and DC) However when AC is disconnected none of his dc stuff  works.Fuses on the converter are OK .

What else could we look for?

DC side will only work on a converter if you have a good battery connected. What size is the battery bank and are you confident that it's taking a charge? Have you checked all your connections to the battery as well as the main fuse?

First time I tried mine out everything worked fine when plugged into shore power. When unplugged nothing worked. Took me a while to realize that the battery disconnect had been turned off. It was just the same as having a dead or no battery.

       Yes, while Richard was replying, I typed the following:
"         A little more info?   What kind of vehicle is this converter installed in?  What capacity or amperage output?  Is there a "house battery" that the converter charges?   If so, what size?  Lots more details are needed here, please."

       For an answer that covers useful details, it seems that more details are needed to cover the original question.  Thanks,

What make and model of converter, and did it ever work?  It basically sounds like the battery is disconnected.  Converters don't need a battery to work when plugged in, as a rule.

Not sure of make.Its a sticks and staples mh.But will follow up on the battery connection theory.
