What Windows tablets are folks using with Silverleaf VMSpc?

I am looking at getting a cheap Windows 10 tablet to use with my Silverleaf VMSpc.  What Windows tablets are others using?  I am currently using a Netbook, but I have to mount it quite a ways from the driver.  A table I could mount right at the top of the dash.

I am looking at the the following for 10" tablets:  Lenovo Miix 320, Surface 3, or Dell Latitude 5175.  I am also considering the Chuwi Hi8 Pro if I go 8".  I would consider other tablets too if you guys recommend them.

I don't use a tablet, but any windows tablet with a usb port should work.  I use a double sight monitor from my laptop.
The double sight monitor works great.  I have it velcrowed to the dash with the computer on the table behind the driver.  That would also cost less than a tablet.

I love this forum.  I had never heard of a double-sight monitor but their products certainly look good.  I have no idea on how to control them or make them talk to Silverleaf but I'm sure that's one of the mainstays of their design.  Thanks, Jack

Silverleaf VMSpc connects to a Windows PC using a USB port.

I am thinking about a Windows 10 tablet because then I don't have to have a separate PC and monitor.  The price difference between the DoubleSight 10" monitor and a Windows tablet is only $50 to $100.  I am a little bit concerned if the resolution of the DoubleSight monitor would be high enough.

The double sight is great, but if the tablet will mount on the dash it would be good.

One thing to consider on the Win 10 tablets: the fact that many only have 1 usb port, which is also the charging port. Make sure to look for ones that have a usable USB port while it's charging. I ran into this problem when looking for tablets to mount on forklifts and wanting to use a usb barcode scanner, while also keeping the tablet charged from the forklift battery.

I am definitely looking at 10" models that have multiple USB ports.  The 8" tablet I am looking at might require a powered USB hub.

If it's got a single port, a USB hub won't work to charge it and use the port as a data port at the same time. Power only comes out the device ports, not the host port of a USB hub. If you plug the tablet into the device port to receive power, it won't talk 'data' with the hub.

Either way, a 10" or 11.6" cheapo win-10 tablet should work. Try to get at least 2gb RAM and 32GB of storage. 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is alot better, since windows can't really update itself with only 32gb of storage. BTDT on windows 10 netbooks with 32GB of storage. Have one on my desk that I had to upgrade with a USB stick because there wasn't enough internal storage to hold the update and install the update.
