Complete Coach Works in Riverside, CA has a few S60 engines that may be just what you need.  These are good runner take outs 12.7 400 HP coach configuration. They have the correct oil pan and mountings and are great for re power projects. CCW can provide the cradle, alternator bracket along with good take out alternator for a very attractable cost.
The engines  are processed through their dyno, inspected for oil pressure, smoke, coolant temp and major oil leaks. Clean, prep for paint and placed on solid shipping skid.

The price for the S60 engine is $6500.00 exchange with a $1,000.00 core deposit plus shipping.  Call 1.800.BUS.SALE for more information.

Are these egr or pre egr motors?

Also what do you mean by exchange Gary...will they consider my 8v92 a "core"?

Scott,it is screwy CA law they need a core or CARB charges 1000 bucks they don't care what diesel engine is a core they are going to cut a hole in it anyways, those are probably DDEC lV EGR engines being in CA.I cannot see the turbo clear enough to tell if it is a waste gate or not,has a heat shield on the manifold like a 60 series EGR engine

I'm perfectly happy in the slow lane because I know I'm the not the slowest dog.  The most important thing is that my engine runs cool up the hills, and I have spent a lot of time making that happen.

If only I could fit one in my 5... Sounds like a good deal to me. Cheaper than a rebuild. The S60 is a proven, durable engine with lots of power. I should get one, then look for a bus to put it in.

Complete Coach does sell good products but I doubt those engines will be flying off the self at that price, you would need to run the serial number by Detroit to see if they could be upgraded to to 470 or 500 hp before you buy one

My dealings with CCW and Transitbus always leave me with a bruised @$#, their pricing really bites.
