Hello all thank you for adding me to the group. I own a 1990 mci 96a3 with the DD 8v92 turbo engine. I need to replace the muffler and I'am having a hard time locating one. Which is hard to do being I live in nyc. And help would be great.

Thanks for the help

George

Look on the Donaldson site. Lots to choose from there.

Hi George, and welcome to the group.  Were you able to locate the muffler you required?  Or are you still looking?

Kind regards, Phil

I think the one I used was a Donaldson style 5 #120131.  5" in and out both on one end, oval, around 29" long by 10"x15", and low restriction, it's basically a resonator, but works very well with a turbo engine.  Virtually any truck parts store can order it, and it's around $250.  It's a fair bit smaller than the OEM muffler, so some modifications to the mount may be required.

The Aero muffler stainless type works great for turbo applications and last forever.>>>Dan

From what I gather, you can anyone you like, so long as it is 5" in and 5" out on the same side.
