Power steering hose

On my 8v92 TA, there's a thick braided hose that goes from the bottom of the power steering oil reservoir ond the back of the engine and runs between 12 and 18 inches to a pipe that goes  forward to the steering box. I think its a return line because it's only held on with simple ring clamps.
Anyway, the hose is old and deteriorating, seeping oil, etc.
Is this something I must get from MCI or would a farm supply place, fuel line shop, etc. have something I can use?
Thanks in advance for the advice.

I've had good luck getting hydraulic and air hoses from Napa (some oreillys do it now too I believe). If you're able to remove the line without making a huge mess (something you'll need to do eventually anyway) you can run it up to them and have them cut and press you an equivalent one with matching ends.

I'm a bit confused by the fact that it's attached with ring clamps though. Usually there's a good amount of pressure in a PS line and I didn't think ring clamps would be tight enough to hold that. Mine are screw on fittings on the pump, the reservoir, and at the PS piston for both supply and return.

Should be a suction hose from the bottom of the reservoir to the rear of the engine going to the power steering pump then 2 quick disconnects on the return and pressure.Mine is just barbed fitting you push the AeroQuip hose on too I don't even have the ring clamps on the suction side or return

Take the hose off and have it duplicated at your favorite hydraulic hose store. Shouldn't be but a few bucks. Good Luck, TomC

Agree on the Hydraulic store, If you don't know of any stores call your local fire department and see who does their fittings (my local store is 80% fire hose fittings) however I love the work they've done..

Napa is good if you're in a bind but I have had a hose fail on me that just made and the fittings not the same quality as my local "Old guy in shop thats done it for the past 30 years" :)

Pirtek hose has locations all over the place.
If you google them and have one nearby they will make you a hose in mere minutes while you wait. Btdt
