As the title says, im looking for the setup instructions for the mechanical modulator in an mc8. New trans should be going in in the next few days and I want to be sure that the modulator is setup properly. The shift linkage should be common sense, I'm thinking put everything in the neutral position and make fine adjustments from there?

Place fuel control lever at full throttle.

Place mechanical actuator cable at full throttle position against the mechanical stop.

Adjust the clevis at the fuel control so the pin fits freely through the hole in the clevis making sure the lever is secure.

Total control cable travel should not be less than 1.187" or more than 1.56".

1st determine if you have a push type or pull type modulator, you can find the information by downloading Mechanics Tips For the 740 Allison free from United Transmission Exchange, print it out and save it's not a very large book tells you about all you need to know unless you are rebuilding a 740  and don't forget the pin  ::)

I searched all over their website and I can't find those tips or a link to it. Must be missing something.
