Iv been to Arcadia a few years as a spectator, hung out with bus people at concerts and events, talked with a lot of people on this forum, so actually quite a few..

It's all math and metal...

well there you go.

My experience most people buy a coach that is ready to go, just not decorated the way they want. In fact the level of build that you have undertaken is probably the smallest percentage of BusNuts endeavoring to hit the road...

I have watched a few of the tiny home episodes and the wife and I both come back to the bang for the buck that some of the people get. We think a store bought unit would be cheaper and with better fit and finish in ones we watched. Some to tall to be moved without special permits. I think it is more about skirting building permits than a actual movable living space.

I too got the impression that some of the tiny house builders were more interested in avoiding rules & codes.
I have seen some that are very astounding especially since they did it without looking at anything other than the houses they had lived in, never even seen the inside of a camper.

I've often wondered how many of them are aware of the weight of their tiny house.

I'm glad they are moving forward with their interest.  ;D
Would be great to get their ideas on a bus conversion, they definitely know how to think outside the box.

It will not be long before town and cities start cracking down on these tiny house and start making new building codes to keep them out. On the show it looks like build a unit and just tow it to mom and dads house in just stick it in the back yard. What about a water supply, sewage and power. These are additional costs that are not shown on tv. Many of them are sure to be over weight on some of the flat bed trailers plus you need a heavy duty truck just to pull them. Many of these reality shows are just a bunch of crap like the family in Alaska, always broke. You mean that they are not being compensated somehow for doing the show.

The municipalities are already cracking down on them and there are laws and codes already in place to prevent people from being able to live in them legally!
