I did try searching but I wasn't able to find what I was looking for.

1.  I need to replace the floor in my 4107 and I remember reading a good post about tips and tricks but I can't find it and I don't remember who it was

2.  Along with the floor I also need to remove the springs for my baggage doors. I also remember reading about safe ways to do this. Also couldn't find. I did find some threads about replacing rubber door hinges but wasn't quite clear if it's the same procedure and parts for the 41's or not.

So if anyone has links to write ups on these or just some good tips and tricks I very much welcome those! Thank you very much!

Eric,
that was me. Look in the projects folder on the 2nd page for 68 GMC4107 Tatanka. I built a tool from the repair manual drawing and there are plenty of pictures on removing the torsion bars and flooring. Plan on having to cut many of the elevator bolts to get the floor out. I also found that you will either have to order plywood sheets larger than you can get from the chain stores or do like I did and run the seam down the middle of the bus. You will see in my pictures. I'm still working on the flooring. I've been delayed due to the side of the bus needs to be welded back together before I get all the flooring replaced. Also the original floor is 5/8 material that was built with old growth wood, Less flex and stronger than what's available today. I am installing 21/64ths plywood, it just fits under the wall "C" channel, painting the underside with deck restore in silver and planning on screwing a layer of 1/2" plywood on top to stiffen things up. Some others have installed stiffing braces on the underside of the floors in the baggage bays to stiffen up the floors.

Eric, The easiest way to remove the floor is to mark all area where there are no supports , wires , pipes on the top of the floor and cut all of those areas out with a jigsaw first..... then you have access to all of the elevator bolts. Then hit the elevator bolts with an impact gun while holding the flat head of the bolt with vice grips. I had my welder handy and I would tack the flat head of stubborn bolts to the end of my old crowbar which kept them from spinning. once out they could be knocked off the crowbar with a hammer. The most difficult part will be the center section as there are a lot of wires / pipes. For the shallow areas around the rear suspension I set the correct depth on a plunge router and routed out the plywood as close as I could.

Eric, I would put the bus on blocks and level it with a laser level. I usually buy a box of 4" flat electrical box covers as they are great for shimming on top of the blocks to get things level. The floor is part of the structure so if you remove it and replace it without a leveled bus you could potentially build in a bit of twist.
