You can tell who is getting ready for a trip by all the posts right?

Another issue... I've had 28 volts at the gauge the last couple trips and as far as I can tell I blew out all my headlights due to over voltage. I have 28 volts to the headlight receptacles and they are all out. I know I had a new voltage regulator put in when I bought this but I have no idea where it is on an MCI and I don't think the type the mechanic put in is adjustable but just in case it is where the heck is the darn thing at???

In our old GMC it was on a bay wall but I have no clue where it is on my MCI 9.

Getting ready for a trip is like getting a full time job. Haven't even looked at the jakes yet... yikes.

Right rear bay, back wall, just in front of the right duals.

BTW, have you checked your starting batteries for water?

Here's a weird twist... The headlights are GE 2A1 and 1A1 bulb which are 12 volt bulbs and I am reading 28 volts at the receptacle. What am I missing? Did someone wire these in series so I can use 12 volt bulbs?

MC9 were wired in series from the factory. You should see 24v on the drivers side and 12v on the passenger side. There's a 12v wire in the middle of the series connection.
Ground on the passenger side.

Well I guess I finally found a big difference between an MC9 & an MC12.  On my 12 the headlights are12 volt but they get power by running off of the center of the batteries. A Vanner equalizer keeps the batteries charged correctly. The headlights have relays in the A/C junction box in the front left baggage compartment.

Gumpy when you say right side is where the voltage regulator is do you mean the passenger side. If so is it behind a cover up near the tunnel? If that's the case it's my lucky day because I would have to pull my inverter to get to that and by the looks of things I need to pull my inverter anyways. Lucky me.
