I need a rear junction box wiring terminal list for an 83 Prevost. If anyone has one, can you scan it or take a photo of it and send it to me?

I would suppose any year close to 83 would work. I need brake, turn and tail light terminals numbers. I'm not familiar with the Prevosts wiring.

thanks

I don't have any that old but take the Vin number from the bus and go on line to Prevost you can down load it for free and it will be for that bus

prevostcar.com        sometimes need to cheat on re 2000 coaches to get the info your looking for.  Example unit number etc.  your 87 should have a last letter in the serial # of I or J  = year  my 89 was a K-747. When I talked to prevost parts they told me to play with unit numbers because all were not in system because it was just started in 2000yr.  If it was factory converted use the mth when describing.  I really doubt the terminal ## change over years. Also list wire numbers that are tatoo on them. If you can't get response try W 6553  that is # for my 98.  When selection come up go to wiring diagram.  I think the general manual that covers from 80 to 2000 is the same.  Bob

Craig if you want to share the last letter in serial number and last 4 numbers I will research further for you. sometimes I can find short cuts around  the prevostcar web site.   Your bus?   Bob

Thanks, all.  It's not my bus, and the guy has not sent me the vin, but I did dig up some stuff Merlin sent me a few years ago when I built
a toad converter for his 84 Prevost XL and sent it to the guy to verify. He said he checked it out with a meter, and seems to think it's good.

This is what I came up with:

Terminal #1 is Marker/Tail Lights
Terminal 31 is RH Turn Signal
Terminal 44 is LH Turn Signal
Terminal 57 is Stop Lamp Relay

That matches my 83 panel. I ended up wiring directly off the panel for my toad when the installed box quit working. I installed my own leds on the toad to simplify things and all works good. HTH

That wasn't one of my toad converters that failed.   8)

NO Gumpy, that was not one of yours. But you supplied me the correct wiring diagram for making one, I just opted to install separate lights on the toad. I put the lights in the lower rear panel to either side of the exhaust and get positive comments from other Mini owners all the time, so it was win win. But thank you for the diagram. I've held onto it just in case things change.

That's what's great about this hobby and bulletin board. You can gather all available information from a multitude of people, weigh the pros and cons of each, and choose a method that works best for your needs.

On to the next challenge!!  ::)

By the way, thanks for the confirmation on the 83 wiring terminals.
