My D2 governor failed this afternoon as we were preparing for departure tomorrow morning. Calls were made by Matt to the stores that were open and there was no stock. Ed Hackenbruch stopped by as he had heard the sweet sounds of the Detroit during testing. Pretty well resigned to waiting until Monday morning there was a knock at the door and it was Ed with a new D2 that he had been carrying around in his bus. Unit is now installed and will wait until morning to test. Thanks Ed !!!! :)

I had my governor fail a few years back.  I was at a campground and was stuck.  I simply took apart the governor and found there was a ridge wear mark on the shaft.  I rotated the shaft, cleaned it up, and put it back together.  It worked to get me home.  Once home I was able to replace it at my convenience.  Just something to consider in the future for anyone who has a governor failure.

Matt, do you need more?  i haven't replaced them yet!  Tim, i wondered if you were going to fix that last night or wait until this morning. :)  I knew that if i didn't look for it in the dark that it would bug me all night and i wouldn't sleep very well and end up getting up early and looking in the dark anyway to see if i had one.   ;D

Ed- are you referring to the D2 or the pills?
You don't have to believe everything you think.

Ed Hackenbruch

Lin, Tim needed the D2, Matt needed the pills.  ;D
