I'll tell you what, I discovered the engine stop lever when I started the bus while I was in the middle of fixing some stuff, and I had a fitting left off in the aux air system.  Engine starts, pressure starts to build, all of a sudden a massive loud whistling scream from somewhere in the engine compartment.  No pressure to make the engine stop switch work, I'd seen the engine stop lever being moved so I tried it and hey presto, the engine stopped running.   Scared the poo out of me   :o

It's possible the "oil leak" is unburnt fuel leaking out of the exhaust pipes, if nothing else raises it's head.  Other than valve cover gasket I'm not coming up with something that would cause a massive oil leak in that area of the engine.

Edit; agree on the leak possibly being elsewhere and running down to the front of the engine.

BTW, Clifford, that is an excellent picture of the thermostat housing that I need for the intercooler hookup, I never saw one before so now I know what it looks like!

I'm hoping it's just something simple.  Now all I need is for it to warm up a bit and I'll start digging into it.  For now I think I'll keep working on the insides and get some manuals ordered for it so that I know what I'm messing with.

Once again, many, many thanks for those that got me pointed in the right direction to getting her shut down!!

And I did add oil to keep her from running low while she was running!!
