Since being bit by this bus nut bug,  I have met a lot of good people. Another thing while searching for 4106 parts leave no stone unturned. So here I am. I'm needing a right rear marker lens, which I have found, but in order to get that part I need a front turn signal lens. I already have one, so just needing one more. Don't you just love bartering lol! Need the turn signal lens for the marker light lens, so anyone out there have a spare front turn signal lens for a 4106 laying around collecting dust. I already have several feelers out there in search of that turn signal lens, but you never know how this is going to pan out. If you have one just shoot me an IM or just leave a message here and I will get back to you. Many thanks!

Wait....  you're trading two front turn signal lenses for one marker light?

The upper right rear marker lens and front signal lenses are both extremely rare.  NOS is almost impossible to find.

Have you got a picture of the one you are looking for?  I have some extra stuff that came in the bay of my bus.  Was told that one of the PO's used to pull parts off every GM bus he came across.

Here's a pic, altho not a close up.  Click on the image to enlarge.  L & R are interchangeable.

If this helps, part number 5952273 is the number of this lost part. I will follow any and all leads. Thanks

A company near me called Cardinal Coach in Warsaw NC had a number of 1960 - 1980s buses that they were parting out.  I haven't checked in the past couple of years to see how much they still had but it may be worth a try.

I am not sure if there is any interests on this topic. But, I am also in need of all the lenses for a 4106.

Because I am making lenses for the 1947/48 silversides. I can also make copies off my old lenses off the 4106 if I can not find any new ones.

Does anyone currently have new lenses available for purchase? Or Know of any before I go make some?

Thanks, TwoFeathers Restorations & Design

Which lenses specifically are you looking for? When I had my 4106 I found them on eBay - some new, some used. Might still have some new ones sitting around, but need to know which you need.

We need all the lenses really. After 30 years in the Arizona sun. The rear brake and running lens and reflectors are real bad. The other lenses must be replaced but if I can not locate replacement ones. I can use them to make copies from at least.

Here are photos of how bad the back ones are. The rear got most of the sun over time.

Ok - you're talking turn signal lenses. Never did find any of those other than older used ones.

I have one good front lens that if needed. I can use that to make new ones. Same for clearance front and rear.

The big issue is brake, running and reflectors for the rear.
Otherwise, I can make new ones real easy if good original ones are not found.

Thanks for looking

What lens type/model are the brake, running, and reflectors? Cats Eye, Signal Stat, etc?? GM liked to use off-the-shelf parts when possible for these things. (Like my reverse light lenses, which they share with a GMC step side pickup of the same year.)

I've got a huge box of Signal Stat, Cats Eye, etc. I can look through. In addition to a few hanging around from when I had the 4106, they do share at least a couple with my 4108.
