12 volt floresent ballast

Looking for several 12 volt florescent ballasts. for huggy.

Momma need to see how to cook. they are over the stove and sink.

Do you mean replacement ballasts for existing fixtures, like these, or new fixtures?  Regardless I was surprised at how expensive they are, same price I paid recently for 120V 120 watt ballasts.  I use 12v in my bus, I have a spare or two but saving them...

 Ned, go to 12v Led tube lites, fit in the same place, use less juice, last way longer and don't need/use a ballast. They are just as bright if not brighter.

If you are looking for the 12 volt ballast for the Thin/Lite they cost 21 bucks each @ Northern AZ Sun and Wind fwiw not long ago Thin/Lite would replace the complete lite for 15 bucks I think they have stopped that now but not sure

I replaced my flo light with leds and much brighter and less current. Chinese led panels with 48 leds on them stacked 4 per light work very well. Jerry

They work with the t type florescent bulbs  the ones with one tip on each end. I think they came out of transit buses

They have three wires coming out of them  white red and black.

Black is ground
white to one end of the bulb
red to switched 12 volt and the other end of the bulb.

Northern Az Sun and Wind-I've had to replace 3 of mine so far. Much cheaper than buying the whole light fixture. Now that I've used my spare I too will be going to LED in the future.

Try some of the COB, "Chip on board led" I have found these to be the best.

how you want to use Your Bus.
with COB Led's you will have a more,
more diffused light , and best watt to lumen output. I have never reached 1/3 of their life expectancy in the standard led "bulbs" but have better expectation on these chip on board "COB"  ceramic backed led"s. "I Feel" the ceramic can cool the assembly enough to get the expected life" Either way, I like the diffused, reflected light as well as the direct task light. Each to their own.

  Anyway, You already have DC voltage there. try some cheap, low watt drawing led's  I have some mr16 bulb bases if you want to check them out. I bought 20 for I think $5.00 ,  so I have plenty left. I used them on my pizza spotlights. Hmm,, Pictures.

How long are your floresent bulbs, & one or two on a ballast?  what the number on the bulbs??

These led bulbs run off 12 volt dc. no need for ballast. just wire in direct to your breaker. use as diffused light left to right, behind window shade. Or as direct

What kills those ballast is low voltage I have some florescent 12v in a 1985 Coachmen that have never been replaced,then on the Eagle it seemed like I was always replacing a ballast once the batteries started to age

I have those same ballasts in my bus, I tried hard for over a year to find replacements, the only ones I found were not heavy enough to supply the watts needed, so I have been replacing the floresents with LEDs I am very pleased so far.>>>> John.

Mine are the 18" double bulb style recessed into the ceiling. I have 14 fixtures total (I think- I lose count when I have to take my shoes off-toes, fingers, it's like using 2 computer monitors) HTH

Current price it 21.98. I might have a hard time switching to LED because I picked up a case of 18" bulbs at a home recycling place--more than 30 bulbs for 5. bucks. All new too.

I am running 2 f48t12d  in series off one ballast.

also running 2  twice a long.  found new bulbs in Tenn with bk.

can't find the ballast yet
