I just got back from a 6K road trip on my Gold Wing. I 25/I 80 Denver to Rock Springs. I 84 Boise to Portland and I 80/I 25 Reno to Denver. In between was secondary roads in Oregon and California. I did a total of just over 1700 mi. of Interstate and 4400 mi. secondary roads, (mostly in Cali). I saw 22 Prevo's, 3 eagles, 1 MCI, 1 4104, and 1 Schooly. All were seen on the Interstate highways. The first day I saw 17 of the Prevo's heading east on I 80. Prolly headed for Sturgis. (all were towing a trailer).
Where are all the poor/regular people ? (just kidding)

Oh we are out here, you just have to find us. :)  We ran into the same GM in Birch Bay Wa. and then in Sunriver OR. a few weeks later.  Have seen one or two other old ones going down the road too......don't really pay much attention to Prevos though.
Used to own a 1968 MCI 5A and a 1977 5C.

Don & Sheila,

Several years ago we were camped west of Sturgis.  A large motorhome pulling an enclosed trailer pulled in that evening next to us.  In the morning they unloaded their Harley from the trailer.  They then got all dressed-up in their riding gear and rode on in to Sturgis as though they had traveled thousands of miles on the bike.  I imagine the "real bikers" had them figured out.

We enjoyed all the bikes and had a great time visiting the area.  Especially Custer State Park.

p.s. I love Gold Wings, but at my age I'd need a trike.  It's been many years since I've ridden and then it was dirt bikes.  But, always wanted a Gold Wing for a highway bike.  Guess running a business and five children got in the way!!

USBUSIN was our 1960 PD4104 for 16 years (150,000 miles)
USTRUCKIN was our 2001 Freightliner Truck Conversion for 19 years (135,000 miles)
We are busless and truckless after 35 years of traveling
