Since my PD 4106-1885 is a 1963 model, I think a birthday party for the 50 year old relic is in order. Could someone give me the date it rolled off the assembly line in Pontiac MI? Roadrunnertex gave me the delivery info several years ago but I don't remember the date. That might have something to do with the fact that I've had to many birthdays myself.

The first present I planned was to put all the pages in the manual in plastic protectors. That idea is fading fast. Do you folks have any idea how many pages there are in the original GM manual? My next idea was to go to our local Dairy Queen for some drive through ice cream but I heard a rumor that the sign at the entrance only has a 10' clearance.

Anyway I'm still working on a plan and hoping the date of manufacture isn't already past for this year.

Cheers

Hey Clifford,

If you come to the party, you will not have to wear a silly pointed hat but I'll buy you one of those stuffed burgers at your favorite Cedar City joint.

Mike -

You'll need to throw a "Belated Birthday" party for your old relic, as it was delivered new in April of 1963 as fleet number 126 to Las Vegas - Tonopah - Reno Stage Lines (LTR), HQ'd in Las Vegas, NV.

Ooooo, bet it was one of the coaches used to haul employees out to the Nevada Test Facility - baggage bays never being used!

So let us know when you're going to have the party, somebody might even show up!

Clifford,I don't believe there is anything left that could be considered usable. I'm afraid I will owe you forever because of leaving all that stuff in your yard. I hope you enjoy wherever Sonya decides, all we Bus Nuts ask is that you keep your laptop handy.

RJ: I think you're on to something. Maybe I'll just wait unit the 60th birthday. By then I won't remember the thought. Thanks.

"Ooooo, bet it was one of the coaches used to haul employees out to the Nevada Test Facility."   So that must be why his bus has a faint glow at nite at the q-site rally!!!!

Mike, first of all, happy belated birthday to your bus. ;)

Pardon the slight thread drift.  Clifford, I can't believe you are going to move from Mohave Valley!  That is like Mecca to so many folks.

As you clean out, I hope you find my turbo.  I will be in Las Vegas Aug. 12-16 teaching a class and would be glad to detour to your place to pick it up, but I think you will be at the Eagle Rally.
