Geez, Did the Oshkosh thing 1986 & 1989, first I flew my Arrow, 2nd time in converted coach, have to say the coach is better than camping in the north forty mainly due to the walking.  Coach, parked near the tower, near the main area. Met many of the biggies, one of my heroes, Pappy Boington.

Oshkosh is a load of fun, I wish I was going this year. I have been twice but flew both times because it was cheaper that buying fuel for the bus from South Carolina. I hope I will have my RV 7 done by next year and maybe able to go again.

Funny, When met Pappy and bought his book, down the line was a Jap selling his book, "Bye bye Black Sheep" the Jap that shot Pappy down, did not buy his book.
Oshkosh is more than one can imagine until you get there and experience it.

Been to OSH airshow many times. I was a volunteer tram driver for a while. The last time was 3 yrs ago. It had rained several days prior to the show and the campground was very soft. Several motorhomes got stuck and had to be towed. So keep an eye on the rainfall occurrences in the days before your arrival. There is a section now that has full hookups but pretty pricey. Still a great airshow and well worth attending.

Some of my best memories came from group camping at camp scholler. Put three motorhomes in a semi circle and let the cooking and fun begin!

I want to go to Oshkosh during airventure.  Been to the museum there by car, but not during the airshow. I've been an EAA member since I was about 18.  Had fantasies about building a vans kit plane like an RV6 or 7, haven't got around to it yet and doubt if I will at this point.
