Probably,  should have posted on the eagle board but I'm not a member. Looking at a 01 eagle. How many parts are obsolete, next to impossible to find? I know there are several still in use. An answer from an 01 owner would be nice. Thanks!

We are full timers living in a 1967 01 Eagle. 8V71 w/740. Most parts are available from Jefferson trailer and bus in Oklahoma City, OK. The trosalastics are not available but several folks are using air bags to assist in ride height. If I was doing it again I would be looking at a model 15. 102" wide. larger bays, large engine compartment if you want to swap motors.

My 01 was all rebuilt in the 90's and as mentioned parts are available. The torsilastics were adjusted and "Bandag" clamps installed. (couldn't find them on Internet so maybe out of business now) Also had air bags installed on steer and drive axles to maintain ride height. We weigh in at 46000 lbs. Just did bearings in rear axle and they are common truck parts. Nice thing about the 01 is that the tag is behind the drive, whereas the 05-15 have a bogie in front of the drive. This gives more room for different motor combinations when/if desired and not having to worry about a drop box.

No, doesn't include towed...We are a modified 01 (most of it done by B&B) with 102" width, 45' long, 14' slide  and a series 60.
I checked weight when we were in Oregon last year....

No tors. available for the 01. The stock brakes are not enough to stop a large pick-up truck. They didnt come with power steering, and the frame will have a million miles on it. Like liberty said a late model 15 is a better coach. Only problem is that rust free 15's are also getting hard to find. Being an eagle fan I never though I'd say this but a late model MCI, or Prevost can be bought and converted with a lot less work, and a lot less $$$$$$

My favorite is the MCI 102C3. Straight sides, big rectangular windows, 6'10" headroom, wide set air bags on the suspension for a stable ride, many still in use, can install most any engine you want, big basement storage. Can get a bare bus in the $20,000 range-or less. Good Luck, TomC

i have a 88 mci102c that is stripped inside and windows are panned in 6,10 inside ,smooth sides outside recent all white paint 8v92 740 allison 10,500 in florida thanks jim
