Hey guys,

I have a rear seal on the drivers side leaking but it's leaking from the brake drum itself. Is this a fairly easy fix because i don't think I've got a lot of energy left after my air tank replacement fiasco? Thank God I called Craig Shephard and he reminded me that the drivers side lugs turn clockwise to loosen I was fit to be tied at that wheel until I talked to him. Thanks Gumpster,

Typically that's how you discover a leaking seal - by spotting a wet drum.  Its not difficult to change the seal but you probably need somebody who knows what they are doing to hold your hand the first time.  And its a LOT easier if you have a few of the right tools.  Along the way you'll want to figure out why the seal went out.  Sometimes **it just happens but often a seal is a sign that you have bearing problems.  Either way tearing everything apart and having a good look at it will be time well spent.

**** personal preference alert **** If you put it back together with Stemco seals and it still leaks then its your own fault (but not unexpected)
