So after even more title research on our 91 ward senator we've found out its based on. A crane carrier chassis... Only 1 of 100 made specifically number 36...

So any hive knowledge of the Crane carrier chassis??

Thanks again

Hi Eric -

Well, the good news is they're still around (or at least their website is!).  I've seen a lot of CCC-chassis FW control trash trucks in my area.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crane_Carrier_Company

From the wiki - "CCC manufactured Type D school bus chassis during the early to mid 1990s, which were used by bus manufacturers Carpenter Body Company and Wayne Corporation.  In 2008, CCC and its parent, CCI Corp., were sold to Glenview, Illinois-based Illinois Tool Works, which stated its plans to continue operating CCC as a separate company.[2]"

Somewhere in there between Carpenter/Wayne, I guess Amtran/Ward got a few orders in.

Take care,
Brad

You must have a Carpenter or Wayne with a Ward label I did a lot of work at the CCI plant off Sheridan in Tulsa and that was the only school buses I knew of they made frames for,the IH  (Ward )plant is in Tuksa also
Life is short drink the good wine first

Im at the Crane Carrier plant about once a week. I knew they have built everything imaginable but never knew they did any bus units. Crane is known for building some of the longest lasting and most heavy duty chassis in the refuse industry.
