If we can not get enough advertiser to come on board we will not be able to print and mail the magazine. I will front the money to get the magazine printed and mailed if we have the advertisers support.

So I guess that means if the advertisers will not buy into this, there will be no magazine?? Last time I talked to you about advertising, you told me you have app. 10k subscribers. According to the BCM home page, each of those pays $ 38.00 per year. That comes to $ 380,000.00 that you have collected for one year. I personally signed up for three years for $ 99.00. If ten percent go for two, and ten percent for three that ups the total to app. $ 473,000.00. Now that if a pretty big chunk of change to the average Joe. An extra 473k in anybody's account these days would be a welcome addition. In my humble opinion, not delivering a mag. would require a refund to all involved with interest according to US federal law. Not doing so would probably be an indication of fraud by the same rules. Just saying!!

If he had 10000 subscribers, if production and mailing costs are $5/issue,(which I think is low), yearly costs are $600,000.00.   You begin to see why his magazine isn't out and why the whole industry is shrinking.

Well that explains everything! The light has come on !! Think I will just advertise a new widget for which I will set the selling price knowing damn well I can't deliver for anywhere near what it cost. I will promise it to deliver your widget to you monthly. I will take your money in advance. I will contact a bunch of backers and take their money for advertising on my widget. I will then delegate responsibility for my widget to anyone who is willing to work for nothing, and do as I say. Then after I have collected mega bucks from all, I will point my index finger at my backers as being the reason I failed to deliver widgets. I will then give the middle finger to the thousands of trusting customers who prepaid for widgets climb into my cardboard cabin, and ride off onto the sunset with a pocket full of free money!!! Why the heck didn't I think of this sooner!!!

Actually what I think you are failing to realize is that Mak didn't take your money. Mak took the magazine back over from the previous owners, who took your money. Mak seems to be trying to make the best of a bad situation. I really can't imagine getting bashed around as he is and really giving a damn if I bring a magazine back out or not. Is it going to work? Heck if I know but I have already lost my subscription fee. Anything I get from here on out is a plus. I am willing to wait and see.

First of all I don't think Mike ever relinquished control of the magazine. Secondly, not communicating with your customer is not making the best of a bad situation!! And lastly it should be obvious to everyone who doesn't give a damn!! Yes I have lost part of $ 99.00 subscription, but on the other hand I have pissed away much more for much less!!! My main problem seems to be I am the only one who will say out loud what the rest are thinking. Come to think of it same dang thing got me in trouble in the first grade!!

Guys read between the lines like Eric, Mike admitted for the first time no advertisers no magazine there none of yours or my subscription money left if the only advertisers back in the fold are the ones Kellie posted I would not depend on reading a magazine bet she had to sell  those ads as low as a fire sale at Walmart.

Chip in and buy a tomestone for the magazine it won't last even if we get a copy makes no difference to me Chase took care of me

Sporting News recently folded....i had a two year subscription with 12 months left...they calculated their quit date, raised the price of the rag and I got 4 more issues...and they had been in print about 90 years......so it goes.
