The small belt driven water pump was a change over when the coach was repowered with the 8V/71 during the rebuild on the Scenicruisers in the early 1960.
The two young mechanics are doing a fine job getting the two Scenicruisers ready for the trip north hat's off to you guy's.
Also you have the shop kitty do not for get to take him along with you as he is a good luck kitty.

I really enjoyed all these videos and have to amire their energy and ambition. So i remember they were headed north from Alabama to Ma. and this was all the pretrip prep. How do it all go and where are the guys and the coaches now?  did they buy these both together or each have one? When they get a chance maybe fill us in on a little history and how they are doing. again, thanks its a great set of posts and videos. gonna try and post a picture piggy back here as a test as well.
we love our buses!!! NE Pa or LI NY, or somewhere in between!

Both these guys were friends back in high school and have been working together on projects ever since. They own an mc5 together that I have posted video of on this forum before.  Rob owns 853 (the Kane's) and Nick owns 855, I think I have those numbers right.  In the videos they are preparing the buses for the trip from Alabama to Vermont.  I have more videos to upload that will answer some of your questions, I don't want to spoil the suspense ;D  But ultimately both buses, guys and kitty arrived home safe and sound.
