How many others are planning to make BK's rally next weekend?  Will I end up parked all by myself?

I will be showing up midday Wednesday as BK will be doing some repairs on my bus before the rally.  I don't have the necessary tools to work on the steering.

I went to my first rally just for the day today and it wasn't really what I expected.  It was fun none the less even though I spent almost $50 on fuel.

Brian just out of curiosity, where was the rally and how many attended?

By the way, what exactly were you expecting?

EVERY rally I have attended whether large or small scale have been MOST fun and purely enjoyable while meeting and mingling some of the best people ever, not to mention a world of knowledge and information from thoe attending and the conversion ideas are endless, not to mention again, PRICELESS!

So, I'm curious,  what was it that you expected! Not ALL rallies are for your convenience of getting your bus worked on you know? Your just lucky enough to be able to have BK having a rally where they can look yours over! Good for you!

I went to the Midwest Bus Nuts ralley near Elk Mound, Wisconsin.  I wasn't sure what to expect never having been to a rally.  95% of the attendees were retirees mostly twice my age.  Much of the rally was spent inside the main building where meals were served, but that is probably due to cold weather.

I certainly was not expecting to get any work done on my bus.  I am going to BK's garage several days before the rally to PAY to have work done on my coach.  His rates are very reasonable and he has experience with replacing the bearings on the steering control arms on a Dina.  Not many shops besides MCI have ever worked on a Dina.

The Midwest Bus Nuts had 30 buses or so at their rally and I'm wondering if BK's rally will have anywhere near that many.  Bryce was thinking of cancelling at one point because of lack of registrations.

I beat you here Brian.  I rolled in about 2 hours ago.  I was about 50 miles outside of Union City and I see a Stetra closing in on me.  You guessed it....it was Bryce.  Hows that for service....I got an escort right to his shop. :)

Hey Ya'll ! Well Brian I can assure you you won't be alone ! We have our first arrivals here now!~ Ross & Buddy were just tooling along on the Purchase PKWY when I was on my way homw this morning so I pulled along beside them honked, waved and pulled in front of them an stayed at a reasonable speed and led them straight here! I've had quite a few calls asking "if it was ok to come with out the bus", the answer is yes! But if the bus is useable at all BRING IT IF YA CAN! We'll all work together to help ya get this or that done to it! Of course I understand if ya can't bring it also! So far we got Ross here, Brian coming fer sure. Steve & Ethel Hurst (with their Prevost out of Miami, FL) have sent in their registration! Capt'n Ron will be here for Sat Night at least (maybe more) ! Danny is supposed to be here (not sure about the bus!). I can't remember the gent's name but a fellow from up around Gilbertsville, KY called dad and said he was gonna try an make it! I've had lot's of folks tell me they were gonna try an be here! BK  ;D

Gilbertsville?  Was that Earl?

There's a great guy! One of the first true busnuts to lend me a hand when I needed it.  He spent a whole day helping me reprime my engine (long story) when I was just a newbie.  :D  He has a really nice conversion, too. He's the one who introduced me to Alucobond siding. Tell him "hi" for us. Wish were could be at the rally. I didn't even get to go to the Elk Mound rally this weekend. My engine cooling system flush has turned into a major ordeal as I decided to remove the fuel filters while I had all the cooling system parts off and out of the way. That means replumbing all the lines to/from the pump. Of course you can't find the fittings you need on the weekend.

Unfortunately, it appears that NCBob will not be making it to BK's rally.  He posted a message over on BNO.

I was looking forward to meeting him.  I am still planning to leave for BK's rally at 4 PM today.  The bus is mostly loaded and I just have to fuel up on the way out of town.
