What is this lever do? No pic, description only

I'm too lazy to look it up and know that someone must know already.

In my MC-8, inside the right rear door where the air compressor used to be located, forward of the door and just above I think. There is a grey lever mounted along the outside (right) wall.  Bear with me, with my back I was unable to spend much time in there getting a good view or to trace it but it looks like air lines in and out of it.....does this sound familiar to anyone?

If not I guess I could try to climb in there again and get a photo.

Not really sure, but on my mc7 thats about where the tag axle valves would be.  On the seven, there are little doors on the outside of the coach, where the valves are located,  to dump tag presure when needed.
