I've been able to get on every day for the past two weeks or so. Not sure why y'all are having so many problems, must be the alignment of the planets or something!

I still have problems with the HughesNet connection. This morning even my proxy server cold not find the site for the first few times.

Clifford, the newsletter has not been posted on the site for the chapter members yet.

Paul, did you send it to Dale?

I thought I would bring this to the top again. The folks who host the Eagles site are taking a look at the connection problem. So far they say there is nothing on their end that would cause a problem.

I continue to have connection problems using both HughesNet and my iPhone on AT&T. On the AT&T connection, logging on is successful about 80-90% of the time. However on HughesNet I am only able to get on about 20% of the time. I can always get on with my Verizon air card. It is really a strange situation.

Eric had problems with Wildblue at one time.

Is anyone else having problems?

Works every time for me no matter what I use, laptop, iPhone, pc at best buy, etc!

I am still having problems. At home I can log in on the laptop but not the desktop at the same time, but 2 min. later I can log in on the desktop but not the laptop (service here is with FTC ). When at the wife's house at the beach I can't get on there either and that service is with TWC. Both places I may be able to get on every time every day but then I can't log in at all for several days at either location.

For those of you who are having DNS problems, try using OpenDNS's servers on your machines. I use them exclusively. They update everything quickly and block lots of known hacker IPs. You can also filter websites if you wish. Some of my customers need to keep their networks free of certain types of sites & OpenDNS does that for me. For example, the private schools I work for don't want pornography accessed. It's not 100% but close... and it's FREE!!

I still have problems some days it is fine next day takes 3 or 4 times,seems like if you log in each time it is not as much of a problem as the log in automatic feature

Tom, thanks for the link. I have been using a different proxy server (moonspeed) and it works most of the time. The problem is that when I try to perform some moderator actions (e.g. add the word "sold" to an item title in the mall) the function will not always work.

This morning it is working fine on HughesNet.

I would hate to try to chase down the issue, since it is sporadic. I have tried to have HugheNet work on it their end with no positive results. When they test, they can get on. I have posted on the datastorm users group (mobile HughesNet) and several folks have tested their ability to get on. Some folks have no problem but most have intermittent problems.

I keep thinking that time will cure the problem, but this has been going on for two months.

One other quick question: has anyone tried to logon via a dial-up connection? I have tried to make mental notes of when I have problems. Both my HughesNet and AT&T have had some periods of really slow connections (AT&T is always a challenge, and HughesNet has some pretty large swings in speed). That said, my Verizon air card is also slow (have to use antenna at the house) and it seems to get on. Just grasping at straws here.

I don't get on the Eagles board or BNO much so I can't be of any reference on this matter.

However I can tell you that lately the speed of our Bellsouth DSL (AT&T) SUCKS!
I can fire up one of our buses that have WIFI and it's twice as fast as our DSL!

I carried a group from a Cadillac Dealer this past weekend and they were very impressed with the speed of our WIFI and could not believe it's the same system they sell for their cars. (autonet)

I don't know if it's related to this board or not but lately every I log in, I have some other sites pop up @ the same time. Up until last night I was convinced it was with this board.

But last night it was doing it no matter where I went.

I meant to tell you this AM that the FTC system is DSL and the TWC system is broadband cable. Have been trying since 4:45 AM today on the FTC system and still can't get on.
