Seangie

I just got accepted into the club and thought it would be polite to introduce my family & myself.

Also to say thank you to all the work you guys & girls do on this board.  I've been online since the beginning of the internet and don't think I have ever seen a more helpful BBS as this one.  It's truly amazing what you all have here. (entertaining too!  ;D )

My name is Sean & my wife's name is Angie (hence the Seangie) We have a family of 4 children, 2 fish and a cat.  We are currently trying to sell everything we own including our home, quit our jobs and get into a bus to see this great country before life sweeps by us.

I have been reading this board & Bus Nuts as well as a few others for some time now and I am inspired by all of you.  Everyone we know thinks we are crazy and we just affirm that in our response.  We are crazy and we know it.  But we also understand that we are ignorant to many things as well and we want to get this done right and have a good experience with our adventure.

I could go on for days writing a novel here but it would defeat the purpose of saying hello :)  So I'll keep it simple and just say thanks to all.  I'll be posting a few questions (probably more like thousands when it is all said and done) over the next couple of months and asking for help and wisdom in the choices we make and the work we do (and work we get done).

Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Sincerely -

Sean & Angie.

Hello Bob & Judy!  We are currently living in Wilmington, NC.  I work for a company out of Orlando and we are there all the time.  My wife was raised in Orlando and I lived there for a good chunk of my life as well.

Sean hello, my name is Ace and I live in nearby Lakeland so if there is anything I can do to be of help, don't hesitate!
Also a good source for viewing coach conversions and meeting the most bus nuts in any one place is coming up soon in Arcadia.  Make done plans now on being there if not for the entire event, then come down for the day!

Ace,

I'll take any information you have for the Rally in Arcadia.  We have some time off for work coming up.  I'll make it a point to be there.  I'd love to talk to some nuts before picking out a bus.

The Rally dates are actually over New Years weekend but most everyone starts getting there the day after Christmas and stats until the day after New Years.
From what I gather, there is going to be 3 different bands for entertainment, catered food, ice cream social, morning donuts, coffee bagels and such. Bingo, jewelry making, line dancing, corn hole tournament, seminars, and vendors plus I'm sure things I missed or forgot!
Bill Phelan is the rally host and he is a member here as well so you can contact him for further info too. He also lives here in Lakeland.

Welcome Sean & Angie
I would recommend a bus rally to. We went to busnusa and learned more in two days than the two years of reading the broad. Got our bus 6 months later. Good luck in looking for your bus and have fun.

The Escapees Discussion Forum has a section for full timers and bus conversions. Plus a whole bunch from Beginning RVer's to Hobbies. Membership in Escapees not required. A lot of great info there on the RV lifestyle. For bus info its here on this board.
There is currently a discussion from a family with seven kids deciding if they want to go full time. You should probably follow that one. ;D

Welcome aboard.

Registered and Payed for the Bus Rally in Arcadia.

I am trying to keep from buying a bus until we at least go to a rally first.  If I succeed at that we will be in a conversion van and pop-up trailer.

Looking forward to meeting you all. (and kicking some butt in cornhole :) )
