I am in need of a complete set of valve bridges for an 8v71 Jake Brake application.  You can email me at, chisholm3.gresham.k12.or.us , or call 503 789 9311.  Alsio could use a set of any injectors for the same to use for cores.

Thanks,
Bill

Check with Don Fairchild here he may break a set and sell just the bridges, Doug Anderson in Albuquerque has some but he will not break a set just for the bridges I asked for you.

Jake bridges for the 8v71 are getting hard to find and are like gold I have 4 new ones but they are pricey,

I just sold 2 sets in the scrap they were bad and I didn't want them laying around and I by accident used one you can refinish the the upper deck but the slot wares out and on those there is no way to refinish the slot that is the part you watch with used bridges.

Some get away with using a badly wore bridges I just do not chance it that .0015 setting is critical so I make the owners bring me good bridges or it is a no no for me huh Mike the poor guy had to buy another set of Jakes to get good bridges to please me

good luck

When I swapped the jakes to the new engine I had the decks refinished but while that part was worn, the rest of it was tight.  If the part is forged you could weld up the slot and recut it, but you would have to be careful of the hardness and the heat treat.  If it was cast, you would be lucky to do that.  If I needed one I would make one out of 4130, but I don't think I would make eight...  That's kinda in the middle between wasting a day or two, and buying a CNC mill...

He did refer to them as a bottle of fine wine. ( talking about the way I shipped them to him )
I think 4 of those bridges were NOS the others were in really good shape.
