8v92 white smoke

i am looking at mci 102c motor starts and runs but smokes bad. white smoke no power. i need to drive it home about 70 miles.it is a ddec thinging some bad injections when you give it fuel it has a miss. oil looks good just changed no fuel in oil. think it is fuel related. it is a 1988 mci 102c 8v92. thanks jim

I have one of the best 2 stroke guys around here @ my shop call me @ 270-705 eleven 39 and we'll get you some solid advice on that.

Could be many things. Bad injector, or broken tip on an injector; cracked or broken exhaust valve; can't tell till you pull it out and open it up. If you drive it home, I'd have a wrecker standing by incase of need to tow. Personally-I would just have it towed so not to ruin anything else in the engine in case it is a mechanical failure.

Although-I once drove from New York City back to L.A. with only 7 cylinders when one of the injection lifters broke. I still needed to replace the cylinder head-was $1,100.00-and that's back in the 80's. Good Luck, TomC

It's a DDEC borrow a ProLink and cut one cylinder out a time see if clears up and which cylinder if it doesn't clear up doing the test on all eight could be something as simple as a bypass blower valve,a ProLink will tell you a lot on that engine if it is not a DDEC 1

Ned,I'll pass the word on. But I believe he's headed UP north where it's cold and planning to be back home by Monday!
