So today we moved. The owner came and knocked on our door, we discussed the need for 50 amp power. Then she started asking about various things, such as why I has a bay door open. Said she'd get us a 50 amp spot when one opened up. I pointed out 4 that were open right then. She asked when I was planning to upgrade to a better rv. I told her that if my bus wasn't good enough for her park, then neither was my money. Found another park 5 miles away that had no issue with the bus. As a side note, we had been there for 2 weeks, quiet and paid rent ahead of time. I found her questions to be very rude. This was at Red Cloud RV Park in Silsbee, TX. Why would someone act like that, they had fema trailers and long term renters with trashy trailers.....why pick on mine?

That's why I have wheels. Our coach is pretty nice but we have run into parks that don't want us because we are more than 10 years old or on the other end of the scale because we want 50 amp power and use it.

I don't even get excited when we aren't welcome. It isn't worth the energy.

I was never denied access at a park and most owners and managers were great considering the clientele they work with!

I was in a park in Canada and the owner was chastising a camper about not cleaning up after their dog  As Mrs Smith had stepped in some doggy do.   Why do you think it was my dog he asked?  Because Mrs Smith seen him do it.  OK so Mrs Smith saw a dog poop then ran over and stepped in it??????  Is it just me or is there a hole in this story?

I was in the office in a park in Tucson when a camper came in the office and complained about the birds crapping on his truck! He seriously expected the manager to do something about it!! Not a bus owner either.

My favorite story, I awoke to very loud country and western music about 7:30 in the morning.  Not wanting to get confrontational I waited for the office to open and informed the owner.

So the owner goes to the trailer and tells the idiot, Mr Robinson your next door neighbor is complaining about your music!!

A couple minutes later I have the idiot knocking on my door! I won't bore you with the details of the encounter.

You would think a park owner would at least have some common sense.

We've been in more parks than I can shake a stick at, and have been treated well in all of them despite the vintage of our bus. In fact, because most people can't tell what year it is, they just assume because of its size it must be expensive LOL. But if we ever did run into an unfriendly manager/owner, we'd take our hard earned cash elsewhere, even if it meant somewhere out of the way,

Well, I was just glad to find that this post wasn't complaining about Dallas.
You don't have to believe everything you think.

Just Dallas

Not all camp ground owners are like that,BUT being a former part owner in a KOA in Payson Az back in the late 90's the campers can push a owners button not all it just seems like there are a few that will and we got every one of those lol.
Owning a camp ground was the worst experience I have ever had in life,so don't be too tough on owners unless you have walked in their shoes not only do have the guests to put up with then you have all the BS from the local government.
When some jerk paid 30 bucks to spend the night changed his oil and poured it down the sewer and the city charges you 6 grand to cleanup his mess and the EPA wants to fine you.
Not the idiot that did it you have his plate number credit card number and they don't care it is the owner of the campground they go after.

good luck
