Just ran across this wireless towing light system.http://www.wirelesstowlights.com/
I've never seen/used this product, but thought it might be of some interest.

$ 170 Plus shipping.. as long as you don't lose one they might be great.. We do a lot of towing here, I imagine everyone will be using wireless soon if these work good.

Nothing personal, but $170 for this?

You can buy a whole lot of pigtails and hook up wire with $170 and have enough left over to take Mama out for a good meal to boot.  If you are towing, you ought to be rigged up to do it anyway.

Here is a question:  "What do you do when some bored crack head lifts them off the roof of your toad and walks on down the street with 'em?"  Then what?

Wire it up and keep the change.

^^ for that matter you can buy the wired magnet sets from harbor freight for $10 if you catch them on sell.

I usually buy three of four sets at a time for my junk hauling trailer.

i have a few sets of the harbor freight tow lights, but the ones with the big magnets come from the wrecker supply store. The harbor freight ones can fall off and bounce, so i usually bungie cord them. My one commercial set stays put.
