Mother inlaw offered to watch the 1yr old twins for a couple days so we loaded up the bus and headed out for a short overnighter in the bus.
We only ventured 90 or so miles south.
First stop was in Aurora Mo.  There is a resturant inside of an old bank building w/ a micro brewery.  Had a nice lunch and hit the road.

Our next stop was the camp ground.  We had never been there so we trusted our navigation system to lead the way, bad idea.  By the time we realized we made a wrong turn and the rabbit trail was getting narrow we had to do a mutli point turn in a dudes drive way on the side of a hill ( I was a bag of nerves ).
My exhaust tip got customized while heading into the camp ground.

Our site was nice, we lit a campfire , swam around a bit and eat tube steak for dinner

pulled up stakes the next afternoon and headed to springfield to walk around bass pro.  Everyone was a bit tired so we pulled the shades and took an hour nap in thier parking lot to the sound of the genset and a/c running

Nice post Bill, and a good looking coach.

I especially was pulled in by the tiny little face in the windshield, I would be willing to bet she is a neat co-pilot.  Our grand-kids have 40' of bus all to themselves, but when it is rolling, guess where they camp out.  Right at the bottom of grandpa's chair, try and figure that one out.

Thanks for the "heads up" on the GPS, I am still not sold on them, and will continue to use the Atlas for the time being.

Nice photo's, even better memories, take two atta-boys outta petty cash for a job well done.

Nice looking ride!  It is good to take them out no matter how short of trip you can make.  Keep the pics coming, it livens the board up.

Thanks for the kind words.
My 4 yr old daughter made friends with another girl at the campgrounds.  During the second day she invited her in the bus.  As they were walking / running inside sissy asked her if she wanted to she " Her " bedroom " , the lil girl lit up and said " You have your own bed room ? "  My wife just grin'd as they jetted by.

The people beside us had a couple large pariot type birds ( the ones that talk ).  We didn't talk with them much but when I fired the bus up and did my final walk around the bird kept say'n
" Daddy ".  Once we got on the road and settled my wife told me that she told the lady she may want to move a bit cuz our rig SMOKES :P  .  The lady said it was no problem and her and the bird generally ride with the husband in an 18 wheeler, the bird digs the sound of a diesel and thought I was its daddy!  I don't want any more dependants.

The bus experience can not be replaced by any other toy.

I got the bus parked at our favorite campsite for the weekend but had to return home until tomorrow. Work sucks. But tomorrow!!! A few days off. It was hard to head back home but at least the bus is enjoying the night out! great pics...
Seven Heaven.... I pray a lot every time I head down the road!!
