This is the latest project in the "Open Air Garage".  I recently met the owner of this 4104 and he was telling me about his trip here from Delaware.  Suddenly the rear of the coach fell, like an air bag blew..... turns out it was the u-bolt on passenger side broke completely off.  After a couple of hours he had successfully chained it back to a driveable condition.  So, since he is living in a campground near by, I says "Why don't you bring it over and we can fix it".  Here are some before and after pictures.  What amazed me is, he actually drove it with the axle housing chained and strapped to the suspension arm.  He has certainly created an interesting story to tell!!
Prehaps Dave will post the story here.

About 2 hours East of ATL on I-20 and 4 miles south of I-20.
Got Electricity and Water for 4-5 coaches.  Less that a mile to a
dumpstation.  Stop by and sit a spell.

The guy used his head, and saved a tow in the process. Chain is strong, he had enough wraps that it far exceeded the original u-bolts strength.

I am the one in question here and this was done out of necessity, I had been out of work for 3 months and had just enough money to get me to the job and make it till payday. When my wife was following me she thought that the bus fell into a deep pothole that it couldn't seem to get out of (fell 10 inches). The brake chamber and the lower suspension arm where about an inch off the ground   and the chamber arm was the only thing that stopped it from digging into the pavement. I got it about a block down the road and sent my wife to lowes and told her to call me when she got there, .I managed to get a look under it and asked here to pick up the tow chain and two cable coma-longs and two strap coma-longs it took about two hours to get it kind of road worthy ,to make the last 140 miles of the trip. I still need to remove the drive shaft to have it re-tubed ( two bad dents in it from the bulkhead hitting it. Other than that, she seems to run really good now. By the way with the chain on it it would move its tail over about three inches every time it went from 1st to 2nd and you really didn't want to down shift or the front would go left and the back would go right ( not fun ) . Thanks to John and his wife now the bus is road worthy again.
