Here is another for the electrical braintrust.

Prevo did not come out with the keyless touchpad till 99 and those components are priced way out of whack.

Here is what I want to do.

I have an air door lock on the bus and was hoping to find a way in which to signal that cylinder without interfering with its current control and that would be 24 volts and controlled by a 3 way switch 1 at the driver 1 at the door.

Thanks in advance.

Joe @ Northwest RV Supply had some kits (surplus) in the past from CC or Monico you might call them on price.
They had a 5/6 number pad unit. or you might us a keyless FOB like the new cars have.

Thanks.

Ya boomer that would work, when signaled would put air into a t T into the air lock cylinder or something similar  We are interested in a actual, ya know, little black plastic button in your hand type thingy :D

If the link above has a reasonably priced touch pad that would be great even better haven't looked yet.

Thank you again

Doesn't it work backwards-releases air pressure from cyl? to release door lock. Really doesn't matter. I did one on mine several years ago with a elect valve.  Used the one from the old Kneeling system.   Bob---- Joe only problem I have if you don't keep it energized the door sucks back shut. solve that problem and you have it. let me know how you did it.

Get the bus to hold air decently enough to allow an aux compressor to run only limited. Like 1 cycle overnight if nothing is being used.

The electric solenoid yes that is 1 more piece of the pie. I still want to be able to trigger it by either a keypad or keychain button.

The idea is so everybody can come and go without keys so the touchpad is really what would be the best. The one in the link is pretty chassis specific from the looks of it.

What about the Ford or Mercury keyless entry from a salvage yard. Not sure how they work but may be a thought.

I put button rite above pull handle but if you release it early it sucks shut before you can pull open.  Still in use and allows one hand entry when you have something in other.

A simple automotive remote entry kit with 12volt accuator and remote fobs is the easiest and cheapest solution. Do an online search, there are dozens of all types, most start under a hundred bucks for the ones with fobs only...
