I would like to move the park brake control from the shift console to the dash.
Any recommendations or tips from anyone who has done it on a MCI-9?

Be sure to locate it where you won't hit it with your knee when you're getting in or out of the seat. It will leave a mark. BTDT...Cable

I put mine off the dash left of wheel and used a release valve from a Volvo Road tractor, It pulls to set

We moved ours to the wall on the left side of the driver's seat below the switch panel on our MC-8

Just remember the copilot need to be able to get to it if need!! What happens if the driver becomes incapacitated

Relativly simple. Reroute and extend a couple of copper air lines and wires. Should keep it guarded to avoid bumping it.
I also relocated the transmission selector to the left side. Kenny

Copper...yeck. Use nylon air brake tubing...cheap, flexible and doesn't corrode or fatigue

I haven't taken the cover off the valve yet to expose the air lines but do you join the tubing and run it under the floor or reroute it under the driver's seat?
I will be removing the shifter tower as well once I get the Bennett shifter installed.

If you get a trailer valve from a volvo truck you have to pull to ingage the break you don't worry about hitting it in transit.
