Heading to the scrappers place in two or three days to cut a deal on the engine / trans / radiator and 3rd member before he scraps the bus.  I'll probably get the ID plate to hang in the shop.  Mechanical condition of everything is unknown.

What other parts should I pull to have as spares or swap'n material ???

I don't need anything for my bus but I can tolerate to have some things sitting around the farm if bought at scrap price.

Every thing that is removable,  sooner or later the group of 4104 owners will need it.I don't know of a owner that would sell their bus till they get to old to drive. Most of us end up with several just to keep them from getting them scraped.

If it was closer I would go with you and get the whole thing.

Hey
I understand and agree.

I've only had my bus for a few months and haven't felt the pinch of not being able to find " that part " so I thought I'd throw it out on the board for some ideas.

I have plenty of equipment to handle any of the parts off of the bus.

Does it have an alt. or gen? Good voltage reg?(expensive when stuck out in the pucker brush). Are the brake drums, s cams good? Drive lines (yoke)? Exhaust manifold(s)? Clearance lights? (usually right side) Amber and red bullet lights. Rear or front glass?
Just some of the things I've had to hunt down over the years. Once it's scraped they're gone...I understand, but still it's sad...Cable

 Bill,
If the second cargo door in front of the rear wheel well on the drivers side is in good condition I would be interested in buying it.......I also need and would buy the parking brake assembly that goes on the driveline just ahead of the transmission, someone removed mine I guess when they put spring brakes on but it would be nice to have....
My cell is eight-seven-zero-416-sixty-four twenty if you need to discuss the parts I am looking for....

Thanks

If it's not too late, the upper hinge post for front door, that is inside the body, held on by three bolts, blind removal with a socket wrench but doable.  also the steering wheel horn contact internals (lost mine)

Sounds like time for a tear-down rally at your place.  All with same model could come and help tear apart and pay their portion.
