Whan should the engine air filter be replaced?  I probably have as many as 20,000 miles on my current air filter.  The filter minder is still showing good and doesn't appear to have moved at all.

I do drive through about 20 to 30 miles of extremely dusty desert every year.  My air intake is mounted about 10 feet off the ground so it may not be pulling in much dust.  My oil analysis this year and last show no excess silica.

I don't know if I should wait until the filter minder shows a restriction or just replace it based on miles and years.

Most good air cleaners are good for 100,000 miles I changed my ECO system every 3 years

Wait for the filterminder shows higher like 12 inches water column or more.
