My friend gave me 8 4D Lifeline (sealed type) batteries.  I have a 3000W inverter.  I am looking for a battery charger that could charge my batteries. How should I configure the charger with the batteries and the inverter?  I am running an electric fridge, a TV and lights on the inverter.

Thank you for your help!!!  :)

I've posted this link before.  There is a lot of information in it.  I hope this gets you going in the right direction.

I would compare this information with the information that came with your inverter.   Good Luck!!!

Here's directly from Lifeline.  3 stage charger- Bulk 14.2-14.4 volts; Acceptance 14.2-14.4 volts; Float 13.2-13.3 volts.  Equalize after fully charged at 15.5 volts for 8 hours (only if showing symptoms of capacity loss).  State of charge- 100% 12.8 volts or more; 75% 12.55 volts; 50% 12.2 volts; 25% 11.75 volts; 0% 10.5 volts.  Lifeline recommends sizing batteries twice what you need and recharge when at 50% and recharge 100%.  I have 2-8D's and am very satisfied with them.  I have my three stage set like above pumping in 85 amps at 12v. at the beginning.  They should easily last 5 years.  Good Luck, TomC

My Xantrex RS3000 does not enable equalize mode when set to AGM type battery.

Hi Pat,

You might want to keep your eye out for a Inverter/Charger combo setup to elaveate the clash between invert and charge cycles with two different

components trying to work together. I also have the RS3000 Sinewave networked Inverter from Xantrax but, I have flooded led acid batteries and I

utilize the equalize feature. and all works as designed..
