Is it best practice to locally ground the negative DC power cable to chassis, or to home-run it to the batteries?

Thanks, Brian

Your inverter negative, battery negative and chassis ground should all come to one common ground point on the frame. Weld a stud and connect them all there.

I prefer to home run the negative for a high draw device like an inverter.

I like the common stud idea, and used it in the coach.

happy coaching!
