Does anyone have any information on repair of the "Glass Dash" that was used by Country Coach in the Prevost conversions they did. I know that Silver Leaf makes a really nice, high quality replacement, but it's about $10,000. I'm doing this research for a friend who has a 2000 Prevost Country Coach conversion with the "Glass Dash". It's working OK now, but from what we have heard it's going to fail at some point and he would like to have an alternative before it fails.

Thanks,
Ken

Ken  just have a 4104 dash ready.  Will be a big improvement for a "provo".

Just kidding, have a good day.

Ken, those dashes were made by Sliverleaf for Country Coach I bought one from George at Northwest RV Surplus in Eugene Or before he passed away I think they are 200 EL but I don't know for sure since I sold the dash.

I'm pretty sure Silverleaf will continue to repair those, even with CC gone.  They are in Albany, OR, not far from I-5, and are very accommodating when you come by to talk with them.

Ken and I have been talking a bit about this situation.

The Country Coach "Glass Dash" is not a SilverLeaf product.  It was a proprietary product developed by/for Country Coach.  When it dies, there are few options.

Same situation with the Monaco Aladdin system.

I told Ken, the only options I can think of are to find a Prevost (being parted out) with "standard" instruments and same dash layout, and install that.  The other option is to get an "electronic" dash out of truck/motorhome that is driven by the J1708 data protocol (standard in many HD vehicles now) and make a custom bezel.  Ron The Bus Nut used to have several of these dashes - not sure what he has now.

SilverLeaf has a "drop in" for the CC dash, but as Ken said, it is pricey.

I am glad the Ken posted here, as I am interested in the thoughts from the group.

Who made those for Country Coach if not SliverLeaf,
I know a outfit in Houston made the dash for Monaco you can still buy that dash they made the overhead for Beaver for years before making dashes for Monaco.

Thanks for the replies and especially to you Mr. Clifford for making the call.

Ned I tried to talk my buddy into using the dash from my junk 4106 but he says it's the wrong color.

I look forward any other suggestions.

Thanks,
Ken

BK, if you can find some pearlized metallic magenta in a high gloss wrinkle finish that is a water based paint in a spray can, then maybe I might be able to sell him the old GMC dash. I'll go ahead and guess your answer,  you had some but you just used the last can painting those Setra transmissions.
