Greetings fellow busnuts,

We are moving the BusConversions.com site and forum to a new and better web server.  The new server will have even more capabilities to better serve this awesome busnut community!!

We will do our best to minimize any interruptions in forum availability.  But in any change there is the possibility of "hiccups".  We do expect one hard down time that could last 3-8 hours as we make the final switch over to the new server.  We will do our best to schedule that to start after midnight (Central Time).  The exact night isn't known yet, but we will make an announcement ahead of time once it is known.

Tonight there may be a few hours that our busconversions.com email addresses (info@busconversions.com, webmaster@busconversions.com, editor@busconversions.com, etc.) will not work while the domain registration changes.  During that time you can still contact Mike, Chad or me, or any of the moderating team through the PM system of the forum.  Our email accounts should be back to normal by morning.

Thank you for your patience.

Kind Regards, Phil

Actually choosing to stay at GoDaddy.  They seem to be making a lot of progress on features and stability.  Once we put in some protection against DoS and DDoS attacks, that solved the crashes we were having about a year ago.  I've actually been pretty impressed with them lately.  Besides, with a new server you get a few laps around the Daytona 500 track in Danica's car.  Ooops I wasn't supposed to mention that!  :o  Just kidding.

If RackShack/EV1 were still in business and owned by Robert Marsh, that would be a nobrainer.  There was nobody that could touch that team on service and commitment to excellence.  But when Robert had a heart attack that almost killed him, he decided to sell EV1 to that holding company that also bought The Planet.  Then they merged the two and it pretty much ruined EV1 in the eyes of a lot of us.  Mario left and customer service went down and several of the good tech people left.  And several people from The Planet were moved over and it changed the whole attitude of things there.

I know what you're going through guys. Best of luck in the server move! If there's any way I can be of any assistance, you know you have only to ask.

See ya on the other side  ;-)

Just a comment as I logged on this morning, I was asked about security certificates. Having not seen that before, I was wondering what Cody or BK, or others of their ilk, had done during the change-over, to make my computer question their security.

Just a note about the switch, in case it is important.   The rest - 'I just made that up'.
For some, patience is a virtue.
Dealing with me, it is required.
Thank God - He is always patient.
