RN, I am not Nick, but I think I can answer. Yes that list is public to everybody. If you don't want all you info up there, maybe just your email address and city?

The internet being what it is everyones privacy should be protected... In my opinion. Since he is planning to move iot, maybe he would consider putting it in a protected area where you have to sign up to access it. That should protect it from most of the spiders... Just a thought.

Any idea what might be going on?

wow, I tried a known URL of the list and now it's gone, I have a copy of the entire list if anyone wants a copy.

I contacted Dave today and he replied.  He is in the process of changing web hosts. The new host assured him of a smooth transition, but t didn't go smooth.  He said it will be back online within a few days.
