The rally seems to be coming along just fine, from what I see in this thread & past experiences of having rallies myself (in mine, and I'm sure Cat, Dallas, Paul, Jack, Paula, Nick, Bruce, yada, yada yada, and anyone else who's held a rally can verify it's pretty much a crap shoot up until the last few days or even the rally dates themselves as to WHO will actually show up or not)

Probably just one bus so far and that would be Cat & Dallas's 4013, but closer to the dates of the rally more are sure to show up! ;)

So far we have at least 6 buses coming and quite a few that aren't sure yet.  We aren't worried at all because even one bus makes it fun.  We have been having a blast here the last couple of days with MattC and Liz but even more fun with  Ranger and Sophie (their furry kids).  We know they will be here again for the rally.

Are we still doing this the first week of March? If so, you can presume that I will make the trip, hopefully with the bus that the students have affectionately called Gumby, because it is more green than white (below the windows). If the bus is not ready, I will be there just to say I was there at the first edition of this get-together.

I think it will be fun.

Yes the date is definite.  We have promises of donuts at breakfast Sat and Sun, the other meals are pot luck. All the paper products, tea and coffee are already arranged for.  Come with or without your buses, we just want to have fun with other bus nuts.

Cat,

Thanks for the update. I don't know about the others, but I like to know what's going on, who's coming, etc. PCC, Come ahead on and bring Gumby ready or not. It will be fun! Now all we need is a rally name like D&C 2010 or........

When I said "not done", I meant empty shell !!  The dates are 3/6 & 3/7, right ???

To come would be simply 'taking the dog for a walk', not for anything worth y'all looking at - but maybe some ideas might come out of the crowd!!  Nobody will be able to tell us to "start over", 'cause we are already there.

I know that the students are now creating a completely new dashboard, and we have a master moulder/signbuilder ready to make their design into a reality. This vehicle is a student learning project, and their enthusiasm keeps this old guy on his toes.

We are a private, one-on-one tutorial school, but we also serve home schoolers (like travelling family's children), so this project is good for many of them because they can understand and suggest what needs to go into this conversion.

Someday, we will meet our travelling students on the road somewhere for their testing, instead of them testing when they are able to come into the school building here.

Yes, 6th and 7th (or longer for anyone that wants to stay longer).  If the empty shell runs, throw in a sleeping bag and bring it on.  Our bus is old and ugly but we love her.  She is in a state of being redone and being used for storage while we manage this place.  You might be surprised what people can learn from looking at a shell.  Every bus has knowledge inside for someone to pick up on.  However, we don't mind a bit if you want to come without your bus.  I know of a couple of people that are coming that don't even have buses but are interested in seeing what can be done with a conversion.

Dallas and Cat.  We are still trying to get our act together to see if we can make it.

I did some searching tonight to see if I could get a GPS for your location.  I have a couple of hits that say it is north east of Franklin.  That does not agree with you directions.  Do you have the GPS info?

Hi Dallas.  Thanks for the GPS info.  I had found the 1698 address and various mapping programs put that NE of Franklin.

I thought I would post a link to the proposed main menu items and see if anyone has any additional ideas.

Yup, Dallas. Looks yummy. Lots of BBQ sauce.

God bless,
