Saw on another site. I guess the word is not out totaly and he is still enticing people to part from their money.

He can really build a web site.

John316

We were there, when they were building that Bluebird slide out. That was almost a year and a half ago. The long haired gent, that is in a couple of the pics, drove us around in the golf cart. It was a little creepy in the building.

(I know guys, I won't hammer this to death. I just commented on it, because we were there when they were putting that slide in.)

God bless,

I have to say that I bought a MCI trailer hitch from that site a few months ago, and it was delivered exactly on time, and was exactly as described.  I fit as perfectly as you could expect.  I'm completely  happy with the transaction.  FWIW.

Brian,

I think you are especially nice to be concerned that someone that treated you fairly is spoken of with so much ill will.  He is a ex-convict and he was convicted by twelve men tried and true and a lot like me and you.  And he was convicted of stealing/defrauding our fellow Knuts out of tens of thousands of dollars and I have little doubt that he altered a lot of peoples plans for their retirement.

I guess I would be more comfy if you had said something qualifying like "but he has ripped of many people and was sent to prison for it".  I am not in doubt that you owe me not one single thing and this is primarily about me....sort of.  I don't think you are actually arguing with anybody but I think that you might seem to be contradicting others or discounting their experience.  And again, that is only my take.

Know that i am much appreciative of your participation here and I will count you as a knowledgeable friend unless otherwise....

Sincerely,

John

John, I didn't think that Brian was "contradicting others or discounting their experience", he was expressing HIS experience!
Everyone here pretty much knows the scoop...or shall I say 'Poop' on sammy...I thought your slamming of Brian was off base.

I thought the american way was you do your time, you get a second chance?  Am I wrong?  And no, I'm not disagreeing with anyone, at least not on purpose.  I just thought I'd say that I got a nice hitch from that web site.  I actually have no idea who actually sold it to me, as far as what his name was.  I think there's a number of people working there, and who-ever welded up my hitch did a fine job of it.  If you had a personal bad experience with them, then I'm really sorry for that!

John, as Jack observed, I don't read Brian's post as contradicting or discrediting anybody elses experience.  He simply reported that he had a good experience with a purchase from them.  He didn't say anything about other people's experiences good or bad.

As for Sam, he has a lot of bad history to overcome if he intends to regain people's trust (if that will even be possible given the nature of things done).  By neccesity, that would require handling a lot of relatively small transactions well to begin the process and building up from there, doing everything right.  So maybe Brian's experience is a sign of things to come.

I know from experience people can change, both to the good or to the bad.  Unfortunately, due to lost trust, the road from bad to good is a very difficult climb with much oppostion and little help.

Sam Walker may very well have many satisfied customers who made relatively small purchases like Brian did.  Most of his fraud and theft seemed to be pretty big time.

I'm not defending a convicted criminal.  What he did was terrible and I wouldn't buy anything from him.

Hey, let's remember that the Walker saga is getting dated.

Brian, and many other viewers, arrived since that time and don't know the sordid tales of Walker's criminal lack of ethics etc etc etc.

happy coaching!

Evening Y'all,

Walker may have changed, however I will take a LOT of convincing.  I spent 26 years working for a Department of Corrections and my experience indicates the only thing that changes inmates with more than one conviction is usually something fatal. That is unless the convictions are drug or alcohol related and they are seriously working a 12 step program.

I'd tend to think that they'd be skiing in Hell before I'd trust him.  However I might be wrong.  naw......  LoL

In My Humble Opinion.

Brian and anybody else that may ever read this series of posts,

If I offended you or anyone else I am sincerely sorry.  I wasn't slamming you(Brian) or at least that wasn't my intention.  Quite the contrary.

And once again....  I am truly impressed with the support that is shown for Brian.  I feel much the same as all of you do about him.  I note that every post that defended Brian and gave Sam the slightest shred of confidence in his possibly having seen the light also noted, plainly, that the guy had been a dirt bag and great care should be used when dealing with him.  That is all I said....or intended to say.

Here is how I read my post and I invite you to disagree, really...please do.  I opened with "I think you are especially nice" and that isn't laced with any vitriol or a prelude to any harsh... That is followed with a brief history of the foul deeds of the Sam and that he was convicted by twelve...   I mentioned that I would be more "comfy".  Now is that a word that any have ever heard as part of a serious criticism?  Comfy!

"this is primarily about me....sort of"  Now isn't this placing the heartburn on my back and telling Brian that what he has said wasn't construed by me to be an effort to do anything wrong or be sloppy.  I said that he should interpret this as mostly my problem.  I still feel that way and I think I said that.

"owe me not one single thing"  Now that seems to indicate that I am not up on any high horse or looking down or judging.  I took pains to clearly state my humility... clearly.

" I don't think you are actually arguing"  and followed by  "you might seem to be contradicting" adds up to I think you might be MISUNDERSTOOD....you being Brian.  A number of people said the guy, Sam,  was scum and left it there.  In context, Brian said "I had a good experience with him" and I think that can easily be construed as contradicting.....in context.  I also said I didn't think that Brian intended to do that.

"if you had said something qualifying like 'but he has ripped of many people'...."  Now this was the thrust of my communication.  And note that all of you did this....all of you qualified any thing you said that could be construed as a nice thing you might have said about Sam.  "if that will even be possible" is pretty final as negative judgements go and I agree with all that HTR has said about the guy..

I also agree that having paid their dues people deserve a second chance....I sure hope that applies to me in this instance.

If you had a personal bad experience with them, then I'm really sorry for that!  Brian, don't be sorry for me as i have never done bus. with the guy and have never laid eyes on him.  All of my concern is for the innocent Knut that might wander into the guy's web.

Now again, I truly like Brian, and everybody else that voiced an opinion.  I value your judgement, each of you.  Now I cannot see how anybody could have gotten what all of you seem to have gotten from my post to Brian..... and I see that as a really big problem for ME.  Taken as a group I would take your collective opinion to the bank.  Sincerely.  I must have missed something and again...I apologize to each of you. :'( :-*  I have reread this thing 5 times and I will reread it many more cause I have missed something....I know I did.

Not that my opinion carries much weight; but I say 'no harm no foul'; let's move on. :) Mitch

I heard that the scenicruiser listed on that site is no longer there. Seems the owner decided he had heard plenty about the great job they were doing while not seeing enough to back it up. Cost him plenty to get his bus & the components back.

The biggest problem with the sam walker types is that they do good quality work some of the time & fail to produce the rest of the time. If someone was to complete 1 well done conversion, they could use that as their resume to get orders for dozens more. If their management isn't up to the job - the goods aren't produced for the money taken in.

I don't care what the intentions may have been - results speak much louder.

Hi Guy's,

We should refrane from any and all slander weather it be Sam Walker or others.

We allow the mention of a Convicted Fellon to alert future buyers to be cautious. But, thats it!

I feel there is no further need to carry on this thread about Sam as it does no good for anyone.

Happy Halloween
