MC9 Squirrel cage fans....

I'm trying to find out which model fans I have.

What size are the "large model fans"?

My book shows the squirrel cage fan diameters at 10 1/2 inches.

My fans are 11 3/4 inches in diameter.  Are there other sizes?

Hi Iver,

I'm not sure which fans your talking about but, it sounds like the Radiator fans.

There are two sizes, and you have the larger of the two. Usually called 96" model fans and 102" model fans.

If you are talking about the radiator fans, look at the opening under the fan where the air enters the engine compartment.  If the front to rear measurement is 7" you have the small fans, if the measurement is 14" you have the larger fans.  Jack

Thanks for that.

Unfortunately the previous owner modified the blower housings so the openings to the engine compartment had everything removed. I think they originally had flaps there which would open and close?

The only comparisons I have are the dimensions of the squirrel fans themselves...
