Do any of you know the name of the mirror product used on TV cabinets to install the TV behind that allows only the picture to show when the TV is turned on and a mirror when turned off.
I am getting ready to have my overhead built and would like this set up better than a heavy cabinet with doors     thanks

good luck

Clifford, I know Ken Woods (pianoman) used a similar product in his bedroom, it looks pretty neat, you can't tell because you are looking at a mirror. I was thinking of doing a similar thing in our bedroom. Thanks for the links Buddy!

It is at the top right, framed in oak.

I expect this is just standard one-way mirror film (available on Ebay and not expensive), but I must admit I'd not come across the idea of using it in front of a TV before. It's a neat idea. I've got a roll of the film somewhere so will see how well it works

A shameless plug for my business - visit www.magazineexchange.co.uk for back issue magazines - thousands of titles covering cars, motorbikes, aircraft, railways, boats, modelling etc. You'll find lots of interest, although not much covering American buses sadly.
