Our great adventure is continuing. Our caravaning fellow busnuts left yesterday to start back to GA & FL. We are presently camped in the MI UP Northwoods. We are going to a city owned campground in Sault Ste.Marie tommorow for 3 nights. While there, we will do a 1 day train trip into the Canadian Wilderness. From there we will head to Mackinaw City and a day on Mackinac Island befor heading to Cadillac to visit GM Busguy. Then to Sanford to visit another busnut and caravan with them to a bus rally near Flint, MI.  Jack

Great to hear things are going well, Jack.

Flint MI? I hear that they are going to bulldoze 6K structures up there. Look out where you park the bus ;D ;D ;D.

God bless,

Thanks for sharing your trip. I know you and Paula are having interesting trip to enjoy.

I believe this is what Jack is talking about the train trip. Agawa Canyon Tour Trip

They have 3 season tour...Snow Tour, Summer Tour and Fall Color Tour. They are about 8-9+ hours trip when I went. Glorious winter snow train and fall color train. As well enjoying my favorite ride in a train wandering thorough the mountain/canyon/valley. If you like nature scenery...you will never forget it. Some of the village can only be reach by train. For fisherman...you can stop the train any where camp and fish and get back on later or days later for return trip. That what is was then...you can call them for more information.

BTW...this is on the Canadian side of Michigan UP.

Have fun!

Gerald & Lynette

BTW...John316...about Flint 6k houses...I didn't know that until now. I was raise on a farm west of Flint. My folk go to Hamady Bros to fill our large grocery cart for less than 25 dollars every month. To feed a family of 5 plus a hired man. Remember, there was hardly no ready-to-eat food on the shelves but whatever to prepare a meal at home.

Temps have been in upper 60s & low 70s during he day with a lot of clouds. Nights in the 50s.  Locals say this is below normal temps for this time of year, but we are enjoying them.  Jack

yup, been a cool summer with more rain than normal in our part of the Great Lakes basin.

But the sun gets out regularly, so... what really matters?

I'll take good friends over good weather.

happy coaching!
