Replacing Coach AC

I have heard of an outfit in GA that makes a compressor to supply AC to the driver area if you remove the Bus compressor.  Anyone know what I am talking about?

I bought an Portland, Or transit bus that did not have any type of air conditioning.  Rather than running 40ft of double freon lines to the front, I mounted a third roof top air near the front so that it blows down on the driver.  I've been in 107 degree weather and it works great.  Just get a dash mounted fan to blow directly on you is the trick.  Good Luck, TomC

How far back is your roof air from the drivers seat?
I've just come across some decent 13.5KBtu roof warts and have been thinking of installing one as you did.
My present roof vent is about 9' back from the drivers seat, and that seems a biit far to me.

Maybe as much as 3ft behind the back of the driver's seat.  Good Luck, TomC
